Our Southampton shop, on Park Gate, was Douglas Knight’s very first store and opened in 1970. This was eventually followed by two others, in Emsworth and Bognor Regis.
The store services customers from all across the region, including Park Gate, Locks Heath, Warsash, Sarisbury Green, Titchfield, Fareham, Southampton, Eastleigh, Winchester and Gosport. We are expanding all the time but have not lost our hard working and professional ethos that has stood with our family run business from day one. Although we provide our service for predominantly local areas, we are happy to expand our services to wider reaches of the UK. Wherever you come from though, Douglas Knight Sun Blinds is the name you can trust.
As you can see from our products section on the right hand side of this page, our Southampton store sells a wide range of products, ranging from roller and vertical blinds to Venetian blinds and sun awnings.
One of our most successful products is our plantation shutters. These high value and increasingly sought after items are modern, eye catching alternatives to blinds and curtains. Not only do they look fantastic, but their insulation properties save you money in the winter.

Once in the store you will find an extensive array of blinds and fabrics to choose from and our helpful and friendly team will guide you all the way, no matter how difficult your requirements are. We are also able to arrange site visits so that we can come and assist you in your own home and our experienced members of staff will do everything in their power to ensure your product suits your home and keeps you proud for many years to come.
